Excellent scenery over looking vast valleys from rather large hills. Covers an area just outside of Nannup and a water hole for a swim as well. Just a beautiful place to be. Camping at the Writes Bridge camp grounds just outside of Balingup - check with CALM for availability.

A very relaxing 4WD trip through some awesome forest country following both sides of the Murray River. You'll be travelling old decommissioned rail tracks from where steam engines use to cart Jarrah logs out of the forest.

The John Holland Track, from Hyden to Coolgardie. Best time to travel is in Spring as many wildflowers are out in full bloom. Try and only take the tents and travel from Hyden north, not a lot of opportunities to pass.

Heading east and picking up the GPS coordinates from the Lakes turn off & heading to York. Another pleasant drive through some great forest country. Great 4WDing when its wet.

Head up to Wedge Island via the back tracks and back to Lancelin along the beach. Check the tides before heading back along the beach. Make sure you travel back on low tide.  Travel with another vehicle and don't forget the recovery bag.

Nice day run, getting in a bit of the State Forest before its all cut down and brought back to its original bush state. Then up the road a bit and then heading straight for the beach. Follow the tracks south behind the beach. Be warned as the beaches along this stretch of coast is notorious for bogging a 4WD
